A red carpet also bring the best and worst dressers of the day.

It was a pink spangle trend even with the cold weather for which many anticipated black dresses. And mostly because Son Ye-jin was picked the best dresser more people are liking the pink!

On the other hand, a white mini dress that cannot be depicted weather it should be sexy or chic, was voted worst for Park Si-yeon.

In between, good dresser was Han Chae-yeong for her black flashy long dress. Her spangles saved her!

And the bad dresser was Kong Hyo-jin for way-too-plain pink dress. She did not bring up any uniqueness to her fashionista reputation!

The 29th Blue Dragon Awards was held Thursday night to honor the year's top films and filmmakers.

This year's Blue Dragon Awards' best film honor went to "Forever the Moment", a moving film based on a true story about how the Korean women's handball team overcame the odds to win the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. The film's co-star Kim Ji-young also won the best supporting actress award. Its producer, Shim Jae-myeong, said that he wanted to make an inspirational film about people outside the spotlight.

Kim Yoon-seok of the year's top thriller "The Chaser" was honored with the best leading actor award and Son Ye-jin of the romantic comedy "My Wife Got Married" was named the best leading actress. This year's top grossing film "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" directed by Kim Ji-woon garnered four awards - best director, cinematography, art direction, and the movie attracting the most moviegoers. Stage production entitled 'College of Laughter', starring actors Hwang Jeong-min and Song Yeong-chang will be staged for an extended period of two weeks until December 14 at the Dongsoong Art Center in Seoul.

The play which opened on October 24 is the ninth in a series of productions entitled 'A Festival of Plays' being staged at the art center. So far, the play has recorded an average ticket sales of 94% and has attracted a total of 16,000 audience members since its opening.

The play is portrays a seven-hour conflict between a comedy playwright who is trying to maintain the humor in stage productions during a period when comedy was banned during the Second World War and a play censor trying to eliminate all humor from the works.

The 2008 Blue Dragon Awards chose a sports drama about the silver medal-winning Korean women handball Olympic team as the best movie of the year. In the award ceremony at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on Thursday, the award for the best film went to "Forever the Moment" directed by Lim Soon-rye. The movie is based on the true story of the women's Olympic team which lost to Denmark in the finals of the 2004 Athens Olympics on penalty shots.

The ceremony, the 29th, was presented by actor Jeong Joon-ho and actress Kim Hye-soo.

The award for the best actor went to Kim Yoon-seok, who plays a dirty detective who becomes a pimp in "The Chaser". Son Ye-jin won the award for the best actress for her role in "My Wife Got Married". Kim Ji-woon won best director for "The Good, the Bad, the Weird". The movie won three other awards, in cinematography and art direction, and for the movie that drew the biggest audience with 6.68 million.

Celebrity couple Cha In-pyo and Sin Ae-ra will be honored with the 20th Asan Special Award.

The Asan Foundation explained that the couple has contributed greatly to combating social prejudice by officially adopting two children, and devoting themselves to helping those in need by supporting 31 children across the world with continuous donations.

The couple said, "We never expected to receive the award, as there are so many people who are helping others in hidden places, but we are very delighted, because we can help more children with the prize".

They will be awarded a medal with 50 million won (US$1=W1,497) of prize money during a ceremony at Asan Education Institute in Seoul next Thursday.
